Spring Sprinkler Opening (Start-Up) in Toronto and the GTA

A spring sprinkler opening turns your irrigation system back on after winter and checks that every zone works before the watering season. In the GTA it's typically done from late April to May, once the risk of hard frost has passed. HigreenWall Irrigation's spring opening is $70 (before HST).

When should I open my sprinkler system?

Typically late April to May, after the ground has thawed and hard frosts are over. Turning water on too early risks freeze damage to the backflow and pipes.

What's included in a spring opening?

Each start-up covers:

  • Water supply turned on slowly to protect the pipes
  • Every zone run and tested
  • Heads checked and adjusted for coverage
  • System checked for leaks
  • Controller programmed for the season

What if something is broken?

If we find a broken head, leak or faulty valve, we tell you before doing any extra work. Repair parts are listed on our prices page.
